During our distance learning, one of the best things we can do is just listen and appreciate all the amazing music humans have created over the centuries. Each week I will post some recommendations of things to listen to. You can find the things I recommend on Apple Music, Spotify, Vimeo, Youtube etc. You could listen while eating, falling asleep, doing homework, making art, or doing nothing at all. I am going to do my best to link some things here on this page.
I will be posting some youtube links here, I have sent them through safeyoutube.net so they should be good to go for little ones!
Ludwig Van Beethoven, Piano Sonata no. 14 in C sharp minor (Moonlight Sonata)
Miles Davis, “Kind Of Blue“
Below you will find some records from my collection that have been digitized. You can hear when the needle drops into the first groove, and all the pops and sizzles, especially on the more vintage (old) records. You can also look up any of this music on Spotify, Apple Music, or Youtube. I recommend parent supervision on Youtube!
Mozart Symphony #36
Bob Dylan, The Times Are A-Changin’, Side 1 and 2
Clifford Brown, Study In Brown, Side 1 and 2
John Coltrane, Giant Steps
Saint-Saens, Carnival Of Animals
“Help”, The Beatles
